St. Peter School Special Areas

A well rounded educational experience engages all areas of the mind and body.  

Physical Education

A healthy body is essential to a healthy mind.  Students have P.E. twice per week.

 

Music

Students have music class once per week.

Band is also an option for students at St. Peter’s with private instrument lessons offered weekly.

Chorus students have a weekly practice and sing in our weekly mass.

 

Art

In Art, students have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and express their unique point of view.    Students explore a variety of art techniques and materials,  artists, and art periods.  Emphasis is  placed on color theory and the elements of art,  and how they are used to form a cohesive piece of artwork.    Individuality and creativity is encouraged! 

 

Language

St. Peter’s offers Spanish to Middle School Students with the option to earn a Spanish credit when heading into high school.

ASL is offered to elementary classes on a rotating basis.

 

STREAM

Our STREAM class at St. Peters is intended to integrate Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math into real world applications.  Students explore not only how to use technology, but how to apply that technology to solve real world problems.  Students explore technologies from sewing machines to VR and Robotics and everything in between.  The majority of the curriculum is project based allowing students to apply their skills and work through the engineering design process to iterate through better solutions.

Library

Pre-K through 4th Grade visit the library weekly.  Students learn how to use the library and develop their love for books.
